Good. It won’t get better before everyone can see the smoke from the fire.
I think, we as non-Americans, should almost hope that it becomes a lot worse. I think it is very likely that it won’t get better before it has become a lot worse. The famous sociopolitical and socioeconomical catharsis, and all that.
I see no signs that Democrats can halt this, so it seems safer, certainly more prudent, to hope that the Republicans just make everything so awful that people are shook out of it, instead of hoping for US democracy correcting itself (I don’t think it will, MAGA is there to say and so is the GOP unless they crash and burn). So imo, we should welcome disaster for logical reasons.
In reality, most of us are powerless so can only hope for the quickest fix, whatever you think that is…
Tax deductibility of residential mortgage interest is already remarkably bad policy (basically punishes those who rent and encourages overbuilding - such as the wave that broke in 2007). But at least it is in an appreciating asset class. Incentivizing automobile purchase like this makes no sense whatsoever, other than to cushion an inflationary shock.
Read the stories coming out about FEMA - the next natural disaster in the US will see almost no capacity remaining in the Federal government to offer support in the manner that people (and states) have become accustomed to - tornado season traditionally starts in April, though there have already been some storm cells. Hurricanes begin in June.
The US now has to fail so spectacularly that it becomes an object lesson in how not to run a country, and people worldwide are shown what happens when you put total imbeciles in power.
The woke DEI elite transgender mind virus got him.
EDIT: Or the liberal elite cabal running this forums got tired of him speaking the truth about how they keep losing and will keep losing if they don’t listen to his divine enlightenment so they cancelled him.
There’s been plenty of security related stuff barely making a dent in the news since the new administration began its rampage. Signalgate might not even be the most dangerous thing to have happened. Here’s a bit of a recap (free to read) of just what’s been going on.
