I don’t believe that to be a success but at least they’re trying
That is the closest ,so far,to aptly describing the appalling piece of catshit the US voters chose to share with the world.
I can assure you it is,been there, not really a tourist destination though.
They should be targeting the House that abdicated their constitutional responsibilities.

Banning food dyes is the only positive thing they’ve done since January.
That’s the sound of performative cruelty.
My flag is bigger than your flag
Sing it
And we’re all going straight to hell
This is absolutely wild

In response to ARS raising concerns about the rule of law, itself a pathetically milquetoast statement, Joe Kernan whatabouts with reference to Biden’s “open border” and the “11 million” who came in illegally.
This is just all utter bollocks. This is a CNBC host arguing that actual law regarding immigration should be ignored to get rid of immigrants and supports it with made up numbers - despite how common it is, the 11m number does not represent any real data. A CBP report of a border encounter does not reflect an illegal entry (8 million of their 11 million). Many of those were following legal pathways to get entry and the Biden administration was following the law in processing them. Many (over 3 million) were denied entry and sent back. It does not even represent unique individuals as many of the 8 million were repeat encounters.
If Trump supporters dont like the laws that the Biden admin followed to process these encounters then they should push to get that law changed. There was a bipartisan bill proposed in the autumn last year that would have allowed an administration to be much stricter in how they respond to these encounters. Trump himself killed it.
This just disgraceful framing of an argument for someone put on TV with a pretense of knowing what he is talking about. Not just because it is wrong, but because its racist AF.
Look at immigration - he is now underwater on an issue that was considered a strength. Talking about immigration has long been viewed as dangerous ground for Dems, especially in the Trump era, because it’s conventional wisdom that you don’t talk about issues where your opponent is strong. But what if they are full of shit and only popular on the issue because they lie? The things ascribed to Trump that are broadly popular are essentially middle of the road Dem positions - vigorous border enforcement coupled with humanitarian programs for people seeking asylum, and pathways to citizenship for people who have been here are working and have no criminal record. The things he actually wants to do (and tried to do his first time around) were incredibly unpopular. Refusing to take him on not only allows you to continue to be smeared for unpopular positions you dont actually have, but allows for his actual unpopular opinions to go unfocused on.
If you want to understand the weird growing tightness between the RW and Israel then acknowledging the tendency of supporters of both to reframe valid criticisms of them in absurdly benign ways is a good place to start.
The president is criticized for saying something racist and RWer incredulously complains that “what, it’s now unamerican to have an opinion or just ask questions?”
Here are people acting shocked at Jewish students receiving grief for just going to see a speaker on campus.

The speaker? An accused war criminal and convicted terrorist often referred to as the Israeli Hitler - Ben Givir.
Isn’t that Netanyahu?
