I’m in the same boat and its very painful. I own a tesla and I’ve been targeted several times so far. Some prick tried to drive me off the road, keyed, cop pulled me over. Sure some of that could have been a moron not seeing me, but he looked like he was trying to run into me from the way the car was behaving, on a freeway too, so at speed. Cop had 4 or 5 cars, some of which were going quicker, I was trying to get over with oncoming cars and sped up to get past someone. And keyed car is a keyed car. None of which has happened before Musk went DOGE. Okay he was a prick and any half decent engineer knew that already, but I got that car for environmental reasons. I’m now trading it at great loss.
Then there’s traveling on a plane and hoping it won’t crash.
Or traveling outside of the country and hoping you can get back in. Even with a US passport there’s no saying you will with the shit that’s going on.
Things seem so normal in suburbia but really there’s bad shit going on. Friend of mine in Chicago observed ICE break into someone’s house, pulled the Father out by force and locked him away. All with no warrant. Left a 16 year old kid in the house on her own. People in the street were all screaming to leave him alone. This place has got quite hostile and sporadic incidents like this are just plain scary.
My eyes watered just looking at those numbers, of course the priority is to empty the US of the cannon fodder they want as cheap labor, for the gazillion jobs the orange one is having wet dreams about.

If it were true it would have been an awful thing for a president to say. But it’s somehow worse that it isn’t true. They have not paid anything. And certainly not to him. The agreements these law firms have struck with the administration commits them to offering pro bono services to the government or in areas of interest for the government. In all cases, this is being paid for out of a budget these sorts of law firms already put aside for Pro Bono work so isn’t technically costing them anything in terms of time or money.
The fact he continues to talk about the government as belong to him…they paid me, my lawyers (when talking about the DoJ) is itself grounds for removal

He used the photshopped pic in an official briefing to justify his actions. However you spin this, under normal circumstances this would be catastrophic to a presidency. You take your pick - he is either a sensationally gullible moron, or purposefully lying to us with lies bad enough that he shows that he thinks we are.

Yet this week the press met in DC for their annual circle jerk of the correspondence dinner. One of the key speakers, promoting his new book by the way, got up to speak about how the press need to learn the lesson from failing to cover the Biden age question enough. Somehow missing that the press covered it extensively, almost daily, with it being a central issue in the campaign that ultimately forced him out of the race, extremely reluctantly. WTF are they talking about? Even if we had a mentally competent president it would be a weird interpretation of their coverage. But we have a guy who can be tricked into believing a photo shop so bad my dog could have figured it out.
It’s exactly the same problem that’s led to Trump.
The belief that facts don’t matter, the truth doesn’t matter, and that such concepts are just things to be ignored in the pursuit for self-aggrandisement.
