I was reading something on twitter the other day where people were questioning the labelling of him as a convicted felon. The number of people just utterly convinced that it didnt happen and that it’s all TDS was astonishing. Numerous calls of “prove it, I bet you cant” and then outright refusing to believe or acknowledge the list of convictions.
I get the internet is now full of bots, but even if only 10% of the people were real it was still a large number of people who are just oblivious to actual things that have happened and that are important to understand the current place and time.

It is not very well known, because it is so unenforceable, but non-citizens are actually legally required to carry on them proof of status and are required to present it to law enforcement when asked. But this is so unenforceable I was repeatedly told its better to just leave it somewhere safe rather than risk losing it. I mean, enforcement of this is like the argument that we dont need to give due process to criminals…how do you know without due process? If a cop stops an immigrant to demand they show them their papers and the immigrant says they are a citizen and that the cop can eat shit then the cop has no legal response. Of course we know the actual response will be fabricate a charge and arrest them anyway and then claim the refusal to prove their status violates their legal status and justifies deportation. That is the stage we’ve reached.

No you fucking moron. Less than 10 million of those visas are for people who are actually present in the US. DO you really think 1 in 6 people in the country are here on a visa? The overwhelming majority of these visas are travel visas that give a period of years in which the person can reenter the country, on holiday, without having to reapply. Of the visas for people who currently physically present, about 20% of those are student visas, which by definition bar the visa holder from working, and typically go to people who pile in multiple people into a single home.
