How ironic is it that the MAGA free speach obsessed pigs are openly crying and targeting people that crtisised Kirk reporting them to their employers and demanding people lose their jobs - simply for practicing their right to free speach

Yeah, if Kirk was actually a free speech advocate he’d be horrified at the right’s reaction to this. But he wasnt so he’d actually love it. One of the things TPUSA did was to create a target list of academics who said things they didn’t agree with so his people had a ready made list of people they could go after. One of my former colleagues form the university here was on that list and I know first hand how difficult things became for her as a result even to the point of the university having to provide her extra security.

Initial reading of this guy is that like Mangione he has a political ideology that is difficult to map onto the standard framework, but comes from spaces far more closely aligned to the modern young right - online, gaming, misogynistic cultures. What seems clear is this was not a lefty thing as they were so desperate to assume, which most of us already knew was unlikely.

Now, how much time will be spent exploring this issue and making these people accountable? Or are we going to retreat into ā€œboth sides have a rhetoric problem…AOC called the guy a Nazi just for calling for a Reichstag Fire responseā€

Isn’t it ironic (don’t you know…) that people being fired for comments that slight the recently departed Kirk, are being cancelled!

Ffs! I switched on BBC news and it’s fucking wall to wall Kirk bollocks. Greatest tragedy of the 21st century. Unbelievable!

The right: The left are a disgrace for their lack of empathy for Kirk
Trump: How am I holding up over the Kirk thing? I’m fine, Charlie who? Have you seen the trucks here ready to build my ballroom

ok, emergency meeting. It turns out he isn’t a lefty. we need to pivot and find some other way to blame the left for corrupting our precious patriotic, god fearing boy. Universities…let’s try universities

Or option 2 - fuck the pivot. Keep blaming the Dems

The state retains the monopoly on violence; Democrats or GOP, ā€œleft wingā€ or ā€œright wingā€.

He’d be exactly the same if it was his own son who was killed. He doesn’t give a fuck about anyone or anything apart from his own aggrandisement.

He’s such a worm of a human being. Making it all the more ironic that he’s lauded as some sort of alpha male.

I never even heard of Charlie Kirk until his death.
I can’t believe that 22 year old did this by himself or even did it, he was made the scapegoat. Isn’t it a professional hitman job, the Jackel style?
FBI are famous for using ā€˜false flag’ scenarios using naive and vulnerable people to do the undercover operations.

Nothing to do with simply growing up then.
It’s amazing how there’s always something/one to blame. How all must be the same. Above all how violent the discourse is.
It must be really difficult even horrible to grow up in this society if your slightly different in some way.

There have been a number of atrocities in Germany over the last couple of years (vehicular assaults or mass stabbings) where it is reported that the individual had mental health issues, but it also transpires that they have an online history which is strewn in interest in violent propaganda (far right, Islamist or whatever) and a morbid interest in similar atrocities.

There is a constant defending of freedom of speech, but when violent rhetoric results in violent actions, the blame goes entirely on the perpetrator.

How many people have been assaulted or worse due to Kirk’s rantings? We really have no way of knowing.

It always frustrated me that Islamist perpetrators are radicalised, presumably by the vast army of infidels at the gate, and far right ones are ā€œlone wolfsā€, that cleverly gained knowledge on guns and how to inflict damage by just being really clever - but are really outsiders.

The truth would be their paths, to their end point, are almost identical. They are, as you say, fascinated by violence and are almost always seen as outsiders.
