I mean, we all knew for a long time that something like this had probably been planned for a long time. At least, we suspected it. And still, many people are trying to somehow normalize what’s happening and pretend it’s all just temporary.
And you definitely shouldn’t underestimate all the people who are celebrating what’s happening there.

Exactly…and I’ve got a gay daughter in LA, who works in a clinic in East LA, a very Hispanic community. We talked last night, and though she’s a strong person, even she is a bit frightened…though probably more for her patients.
I’d move to Netherlands, Costa Rica, New Zealand if I didn’t have lots of money tied up in accounts that require a huge penalty to get out of, and could talk my daughters into going also. They, though, are both still young in their careers, and likely loathe to leave now.
