Drill Baby Drill...the US Politics Thread (Part 3)

Whenever I have seen him read, as a casual observer and not an expert, it has looked to me that his reading age is that of a young child.

His tone of voice changes when he reads, almost like the tone you might adopt if you are telling a story to a child. In addition to that, he often struggles to read and pronounce words that you would expect a middle school child to know. And then when he discovers something that he is reading - usually a common word that the vast majority would already know, he riffs off that, and goes off script as if he is making a great discovery that nobody else knows.

Once you see these things you cannot unsee them, and it is very clear that he struggles with reading.

He is such a blowhard that doing a speech at the UN without the teleprompter is probably more comfortable for him, though obviously the content left a lot to be desired.

The entire thread is so depressing, but this one made me LOL in a horrid way.

This is now no longer just a corruption story, but squarely in cover up territory. This is the sort of thing the press would normally turn into an administration defining scandal for any other presidency, and every person the cover up touched would be forced to resign in disgrace (if they could not find a patsy to take the fall for them…hello, Scooter Libby)

It is barely even a front page story in this administration.

I’m pretty sure there’s deposition footage from way back when where a lawyer hands him a piece of paper to read/examine and it’s crystal clear he doesn’t have a Scooby Doo.

I think this shows why Epstein needs to be back in the headlines ASAP.

Normal scandals don’t touch this administration. Epstein probably won’t either. But it is the scandal that has the biggest chance of gaining some sort of traction, especially with MAGA divided on the issue, with the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene taking up the mantle.

Keep chipping away at that one thing. It’s entirely possible that Trump is a paedophile. I’m not saying that he is. And I’m not alleging that he is. But the facts need to come out as the whole thing looks tawdry and then some.

His supporters have excused him on all manner of things over the years, but if the full truth around his association with Epstein came out, it might, just might, be the one thing that sinks him.

The dude on the train across from me is talking on the phone to someone, and he’s ticking off TAN Away End threads one by one…

He’s done Trump, Farage, the UN, Starmer, ILR and Burnham.

He’s pretty scruffy…which one of you just got off at Elmer’s End?

Could have been the infamous COG…

Did you ask him if he’s seen any more BMW’s at the food bank?

WSJ is reporting on behind the scenes discussions among his team about the Epstein case, with him reportedly just not understanding why it is of so much interest to people. His perspective is reported to be confusion that people just dont seem to understand that things were different in Palm Beach in the 90s…

I did one of those joke coughs to sound exactly like ā€˜dark-skinned mermaid’ and he didn’t react.

Not him.

I didn’t take you for a timid socially akward coward, but perhaps it’s here you are confident and secure :stuck_out_tongue: nudge, nudge

I would have tried to open up a short friendly conversation and just asked, if there was an opportunity. The forum isn’t that big, after all  Maybe it would be a guy who loathed me, but perhaps he would have left with a better impression, as writing on a forum is quite different to physically talking; or perhaps not. Who knows. No one until you dare speak, I suppose :stuck_out_tongue:

As the emoji’s suggest, this isn’t entirely serious and should not be viewed as an insult. There can be a variety of social reasons why people want to be anonymous, for instance. And I would never criticise that, obviously. I just found it amusing since you are outspoken here on this forum and we have so few members. But I mean, If i had met someone like Redwhippet by chance, I would be happy.

Normally, I would say that something very big is happening; since Hegseth is gathering 100ds of admirals and generals (calling them from abroad and everything) to a location in Arizona (I think I read), but it’s probably just new political directions for ā€œFree Speechā€ or something bizarre like that.
Had it been about security, it would be odd to gather the entire military top chain at one location (and it still is, but the show must go on).

Reports of leaks, tells a story of generals and admirals being very worried, fearing it has to do with ā€œloyaltyā€ and etc. I would be worried too, I guess.

Invasion of Greenland?

Joking, I think…

Hehe, I doubt that would require gathering a host of them together. No one does that when planning a war in this day and age.
Of course, since this is Hegesth, that is still a posibillity, I suppose. But I would then look more towards Venezuela than Greenland. Or Tibet, since it’s Trump and it’s possible they mix up the geography.

Nah, I think it is safe to say that it’s a totally unecessary political gathering.
