For those who don’t know, Pakistan bombed Kabul (different now that NATO is gone, then Pakistan is no longer in auto-support of Taliban mode), then Taliban fighters started attacking Pakistani border villages in retaliation and pakistan gets a taste of it’s own old medicine

I’m going to prognosticate on what Trump will actually do based on my interpretation of what he means when he says clearly he will do a thing. I will add in my opinion on how people will respond negatively to this, his party and the voting public, assuming the norms and attitudes of the 90s will hold. And as my topper I will argue it is clearly unconstitutional so cannot be done.
And you people just straight calling out what is actually happening in the present are the bad ones.
You will find this in the textbook of “how did we become an authoritarian state” in the chapter before the one about Mitch choosing not to impeach over Jan 6th because dealing with it legally was a better option

I get the point being made, but the details of the 2028 election is not really the issue but more how Trump’s incessant and progressive illegality is enabled by people who refuse to deal with the threats made in the present due to some handwavy projection of how they think it will play out.
The thing these people refuse to understand is that even speaking this stuff out loud does incredible damage to our civic institutions. This was true from the moment Trump started talking about refusing to accept the results of the 2016 election. It’s a genie that is very difficult to put back into the bottle once it’s out and these people are all “the genie isnt that bad and the supreme court will definitely keep it in check”

They are already previewing their ‘emergency powers’ gambit. Using the mortal threat of people dressed as chickens and frogs in Portland to justify quasi martial law. By the time of the next presidential election this policy will have become so commonplace that no one will bat an eyelid as Trump declares war on Antifa/Radical Leftists/The Democratic Party/ People in Fancy Dress, and invokes war powers to delay a vote for infinity.

Apparantly, no one told poor Witkoff that Putin likes to start by explaining Russin grievances, starting with explaing how the Rurik dynasty was really Slavic, and then from there it goes on (no joke). You are supposed to be prepared agains that spin, so you can track Putin back to contemporary times.
