Bukule demanded the return of a collection of MS13 members who the US had in custody in return for him taking in our deportees. He wanted them because they had information about the criminal deals Bukele made with the gangs to help him win his election. Complicating the issue was we had them in custody because they were cooperating with the DoJ on big public safety cases
We illegally deported a bunch of randos by making up links with organized crime and did it for theatre and propaganda. To do it we had to help out a foreign authoritarian leader so he could bury the information about his criminality and partnership with the very gangs he claims to have defeated. In doing so we undercut years of dangerous investigative work from the Feds on cases that actually improve safety.
Iām sure it seems reasonable to deplorables.
Surely once shade has been cast upon anyone as being an informant, rat or snitch, it serves as a death sentence.

The White House was built between 1792 and 1800. Itās a testimony of the very founding times of the US. And yet, Trump is allowed to destroy a significant part of it for his new ballroom idea. Has anyone reacted to this, protested against it? I didnāt see anything. Or is the destructed part more recent and less valuable?
What strikes me is the speed of all this. Trump comes to power in January, and a few months later, they are already starting work on his ballroom project? Maybe the idea comes from the 2016-20 period?
I believe it dates to FDR so it is more recent. Itās interesting to see the lack of reverence they give it compared to the Palace of Westminster which was built around 1850. I donāt think the White House is even regarded as a world heritage site.
