Drill Baby Drill...the US Politics Thread (Part 3)

Yes, I am surprised if it’s not. It’s very, very unethical to say the least.

Meanwhile, Trump is picking a fight with …Nigeria?!?

Being a Chinese diplomat these days must be just plain fun

Ja, dette ser ut som ein god plan :

Fictional genocide in Nigeria must take precedence over actual genocide in Sudan. Of course.

Also, MAGA supposedly hated military intervention abroad, but Nigeria, yes Nigeria, that is cool (judging from comments supporting this half baked idea)

And it’s just a shame that they are black christians. Now if they were white ones Trump might make room alongside those ‘cherished’ ones from SA in his refugee allocation list.

Does Nigeria have a load of oil reserves, perchance?

Incidentally, are all these Trump tweets now done on ChatGPT? The punctuation is far too good and the language florrid.

Sure, they have some.
But this is really due to the Right Wing info sphere. There, the “genocide” on Christians in Africa is a huge deal. Let me be clear, the situation for Christians in Nigeria IS very bad, but it pales in comparison to what is happening in Sudan.

And of course, Ethiophia is getting ready to invade Eritrea and regain it’s lost access to the Red Sea. The situation in this entire area is now beyond FUBAR

and steadily getting much worse. But for MAGA reasons, our focus must be to save Christians in Nigeria, instead of preventing large parts of Africa from completely collapsing into multi wars and industrial scale ethnic cleansing.

And yes, both Eritrea and Etiophia has interests in Sudan. Look at the map. It’s basically a map of hell. Etiophia getting ready to invade to get the Red Sea, Sudan in complete and utter civil war with the Janjaweed comitting unspeakable massacres and mass rapes.

But Nigeria…

The oil angle is a weird one, because threatening suppliers like Venezuela and Nigeria while constraining Russian market access should start pushing oil prices upward - which is one of the pressure points for his base. Granted, the oil indices are near annual lows now

Unless him and his cronies are buying up shares in oil companies and this is purely a msnipulation technique to mske money - a move I would not put past any of them

Do you think he gives a rats arse about his base?
