Two weeks ago the NYT did a big glow up on her and her return to the limelight and it positioned her book, the work of a much appreciated writer who has suffered after making bad personal choices (get the fuck outta here with that shit), was central in that framing.
Now here is the actual NYT review of the book tearing it to bits
I know different areas of newspapers work separately from each other, but this really compounds how bad a look it was for them to do that awful profile of her in the first place
Kushner is who they pretended Hunter Biden was, but in much more consequential ways than even the worst conspiracy theory about Hunter suggested, and in ways that was already demonstrated in 2016 (he was fingers as being the person who tried to set up the back channel to Russia to avoid the usual transparency and government archiving), long before those Hunter conspiracies started being pushed.

To the degree that Ukraine is dependent on America doing the right thing under Trump, they are screwed.
It is ridiculous that America and Russia are even talking about a deal. What about Ukraine? Itâs their country! What about Europe? Itâs their region!
I think this one is all about the money for Trump, his family, and his cronies. Deals will be carved up behind the scenes with Putin and his team, and Ukraine will get screwed over.
If Ukraine is to get anything close to a just outcome, it will need massive backing from Europe. At that point Iâm not sure there is the political will, and militarily it might be some time away from being possible. I donât know the details but it seems like Europe probably canât get on the sort of timetable that Ukraine needs right now to arm them decisively enough.
I canât help thinking that those frozen Russian assets are going to be a deciding factor , one way or another , in the likelihood of any mutually acceptable peace deal.
