These fuckwits haven’t a clue!

Infantino would also demand trump lift the world cup alongside his peace trophy and make him honourary captain .

America needs a revolution that dismantles the power of the banks and corporations as well as the two party state, and puts its people above the interests of those that accumulates wealth on a scale that is beyond parody.

Good luck American, youre going to need it , because the truth is , you are the most hated nation on earth as it stands .

Delcy sounds a lot less on board with the plan than most assumed was the case from hearing trump’s comments

This lunatic effort appear even worse when, apart from grabbing oil and a bunch of very suss charges, there is no plan at all for the immediate future.
Sure Putin and Xi are taking notes while laughing at this crass stupidity.

For all the propaganda from the West that China is the biggest threat to stability and peace because of what they could do to Taiwan and the region, it’s the West, specifically certain nations, who actually invaded countries at will.

Not that I think there is no chance that China will do so, but the chances are low in the absence of actors. They themselves want peace and stability more than anyone else. But yet the US, while pointing fingers at others, actually do it. And their friends and allies stop short of doing anything that is of worth in response.

Samantha Power, the Brit who was the Russia expert on the national security council in trump’s first term testified back then that Russia had started floating to the admin the possibility of a mutual “look the other way” pact involving Ukraine and Venezuela

China, Russia and the US are all threats to the rules based international order we have seen since the Second World War.
Of course, the rules were broken on occasion, but most countries in the world could feel confident that they weren’t about to be invaded by a superpower. There is a change now, and nowhere is safe, not even Greenland.
China basically has a green light to invade Taiwan whenever they want. The only thing the US cares about are silicon chips.

Farage has a slightly different take:

‘The American actions in Venezuela overnight are unorthodox and contrary to international law — but if they make China and Russia think twice, it may be a good thing.’

I don’t know how the optics are in your part of the world but over here, despite all the posturing and tough talk on both sides, it’s widely agreed that as long Taiwan doesn’t declare independence officially, China will not use military solutions and Taiwan, even if it feels uneasy, would be happy to live under those conditions.

Now, maybe in parts of the world, there shouldn’t be a compromise on a country sovereignty. As with a large majority of Taiwanese, I, too, consider Taiwan as an independent country but this large majority also know that the status quo has allowed them to live the lifestyle they want in peace without the China style of governance and on China side, what they need is face. Whether there will be reunification, China is willing to let it take its natural and diplomatic course. But if they are being “embarrassed”, they will take action but trust me, all of us in Asia know, including China, a war will destroy much of what China has built over the decades. Military action from China is a low possibility but we all know it’s a very thin line and all it takes are some goading and that line will be easily crossed.

The US and Russia however don’t seem to need any goading.
