Careful, thatâs LAPD doing their job. Crowd told to disperse police insuring the order is obeyed. That could be in any country for any reason of demonstration. Itâs sort of what we should expect. The competence of how they do it can be questioned however in France for example it would be a lot more harrowing.
Itâs the National Guard and how they are doing things that should be shown.
Personally I feel we have to concentrate on how in effect these protests have been essentially peaceful. The number of agitators is very low indicating a very low amount of organised obstruction. These are the lies of the Trump administration.
Even those taking advantage by looting is very low these are not riots.

Letâs get one thing absolutely clear. Whatâs happening in LA and elsewhere is Trumpâs Gestapo suppressing overwhelmingly peaceful protestors.
I did not nor would I ever vote for Donald Trump.
There has been a long campaign by the Republicans to push this issue to the top of the agenda. Non stop negative commentary and falsehoods have created a climate of fear and panic about something which has always been a part of life in the US.
There are somewhere between 10-12 million illegal immigrants in the US, which is hardly an âinvasionâ in a population of 340 million.
They are less likely to be criminals and are more likely to be employed and upwardly mobile than the population as a whole. The accusations of criminality have been thrown at every group of new immigrants from the Irish, the Italians, the Poles etc etc. This has always been an easy way for politicians to rile up the electorate and gain cheap popularity.
As you no doubt know, the Democrats have never had a policy of open borders, these are just more lies from the Republican side. There was a cross party initiative on immigration which Trump torpedoed for political gain, because the Republicans donât actually want a solution to this issue as an ongoing sense of crisis gives them excuses to enact ever more draconian policies as we have seen.
There are many more pressing crises in the US that need urgent and wise policies, but there is very little hope of that at the present time.
I have never had a sock nor would I care to do so. I havenât posted here for some time because I view the left as largely intolerant to differing views outside their echo chamber. That wasnât the case a decade ago when the left were the champions of free speech.
I post this because I see the rising danger on the right. But itâs because the left is disconnected from the rest of the country, pursuing an ideology that is extremely unpopular, that allows the rise of the authoritarian right. The public agrees with Trump because the left allowed and encouraged this to happen.
The data says otherwise.
Democrats and the left in general are completely offside with the general public on this issue.
Otherwise to what?
If there had been an open border there would be zero apprehensions.
It just looks like the Democrats were better at catching them.
Given that the competency of the border patrol is not dependent upon the party in power, thatâs almost certainly not the issue.
There was a change in policy last year:
Got to admit Iâm fascinated to see the other side of it, and Iâd also encourage anyone yo dismantle any false information with the truth.
Itâs easy to see how someone with blinkers or some preconceived thoughts on this can end up down a rabbit hole.
Umm, look at the US now? Far right and âfree speechâ
Not really.
Yeah, sorry, tongue in cheek doesnât work so well online.
It still directly contradicts Trumpâs âopen bordersâ lie.
If Republians were so serious about illegal immigration, theyâd put some of that energy towards the employers of these people. The ones who are actually profting from this.
