I just shifted out of USD completely to prepare for the upcoming dollar crisis when it will get really nasty. Both my kids were born in SoCal and have citizenship. My son was planning to apply to USC this year but has shelved that because of Trump and also we don’t believe he can count on getting through customs regularly. What a mess and it’s going to get a lot worse

There’s too much to list out so I’ll limit it to just two questions, one domestic and one international.
Domestically, are you happy with what Trump is doing via his instrument, ICE?
Internationally, are you happy with America’s plummeting global status, as for example it turns on longstanding allies and risks dismantling NATO with conflict over Greenland?
Why do you even bother? Trump has done unfathomable damage domestically and abroad since he last posted in this thread months ago, and all he has to contribute is 5 minutes from a hearing about an abortion pill labelled with a rather misleading title.
This is textbook MAGA behaviour. They get pummeled online and in the real world and their standard reaction is to pretend that everything is fine, laugh it off and try to deflect to trivial matters.

Also ask these people to actually define what they mean by biological female. What you will find is that if they are even willing to give you an answer, that answer will be full of wild inconsistencies with what they claim they want to see because they wont spend more than about 1 second thinking about this.
Here is the funny thing on Greenland (not actually funny)
The US already had agreements in place with Denmark for several permanent military bases in Greenland. Both nations are fully aware that protection of the natural resources is essential and that Denmark can’t protect it from Russian aggression, should that day ever come. I probably can’t say exactly how I know how close it was but let’s just say I was expecting to have extreme winter training this year.
Trump has come in and fucked it up because it gauls him so much that these agreements were made under Biden.
Oh and also, all the US military systems have been “updated” to have an integrated AI called GenAI. We all got an email from Pete Hegseth ordering us to use it as often as possible. They sent us posters to put around our work areas with Hegseth as Uncle Sam and it says “I WANT YOU… TO USE GEN AI”. Which should be great I can’t imagine any problems with that moving forwards. Even the MAGA people I work with up there agree that it is fucked up.

ICE has a more abbreviated training requirement for new applicants with a law enforcement background. The GenAI they used to screen applicants misunderstood what the word officer meant and so fast tracked a load of applicants in the abbreviated LE pathway for things in their application that had nothing to do with LE…things like compliance officer.
I work with GenAI every day and its incredibly cool, but incredibly dumb and in really confident ways (like a MAGA voter)

Trump was at a Ford factory in MI on Tuesday. One of the workers yelled at him that he was a pedophile protector. The worker has been suspended, and not one of the warriors of the great free speech protection wars of 2024 have said shit about it. But Trump flipping the guy off is a pretty good metaphor for his actual attitude towards the working class voters who were responsible for getting him back in office
