I also heard that the US has recently drawn down on its storage of natural gas to a level not seen before. That’s before the storm hits.

Which even if true is not illegal in MN and so not grounds to defend this. But this is precisely in incoherence of the gun rights groups’ arguments. I need a gun to legally defend myself, but if I have one someone else can legally kill me just for having one

I’ve just written to my Governor and both State Senators but I did that after Renee Good and didn’t even receive a response. Our Government is completely absent while a mad-man sets his own personal army against the American people.
The only positive to take from it is that normal Americans have been remarkably restrained in order to not give this President what he wants - a violent reaction that he can then “crackdown” on but it looks like he’s decided he’ll just do it anyway since he isn’t being held to account by anyone.
The media still call him “Sir” for fucks sake.

It’s already started. My writing to all of them is that “not assisting” ICE isn’t good enough. Ice needs to be arrested if they break the law and the Senators need to be in Government now getting lesgislation through to dissolve the organization.
They won’t because they’re all cowards who only think of their own self-interest but the only voice I have is contacting them.
I’m sure Susan Collins is very ‘concerned’ about it all (while voting to approve increasing their budget again).

I’ve just read he was a US citizen.
A white US citizen standing in a public space brandishing nothing but a cell phone camera. He was standing next to someone else who was charged by an ice officer, shoved to the ground and pepper sprayed in the face from point blank range. He then immediately stepped over to try to protect her, and was similarly pepper sprayed in the face from point black range. There was a small scuffle as he blindly tried to find his footing, and as he fell the other group of ice agents ran over, dog piled him, and then started beating the shit out of him. At some point one of them saw there was a gun (that has been reported he legally owned and had a licensed to carry) In his back pocket, but neither made any move to grab it, nor was it possible to given the dog pile. That Officer then swiped the gun from his pocket and backed away, and very shortly after a different officer pulled his own gun and fired the first shot.
