I actually listened to the whole thing. I can only bare listening to full on Trump idiocy in small doses every now and then. Hardly news, but the amount of childishness and idiocy per minute is still unbelievable, even after all the years.
The few times I bother listening to all he says, it blows my mind that Americans have got used to it and it blows my mind to tiny particles that there are people cheering this and shouting “USA! USA!USA!”
The Supreme Court has bent over backwards for him. Eventually at some point they had to issue a ruling that sided with the Constitution, and not Trump.
Trump didn’t like that, and now the Supreme Court is feeling his ludicrous backlash. It feels a bit to me like when Trump rounded on Pence, but Mike Pence (belatedly) stood his ground. A mob was whipped up and they marched on the capital, armed and with gallows, fully intent on hanging Mike Pence.
I hope it doesn’t come to this, but the members of the Supreme Court, especially the three Democrats, are in danger of some MAGA whacko taking a shot. I know they all have security but it needs to be beefed up.
Trump is picking the wrong fight here, because it might well embolden the Supreme Court to show more backbone in standing up to him, and that will only serve to bring him down.
In one of tonight’s “Sir stories” (which Trump loves to conjure up from the æther), he now talks about a steel-worker he met (at other times, it’s generals, lumberjacks and what not). https://x.com/Acyn/status/2024929936008794534
I am starting to think that his father never gave him a hug when he was a kid.
Considering he seized power in Venezuela, or near enough, and neither the judicial nor the legislative branch had any oversight whatsoever, his take about not being allowed to charge a fee is not really that wrong.
