The only candidates who fought in Vietnam for the presidency were treated like shit based on it.

For a gung-ho we respect the military country they really don’t.

The amazing thing is not that maga is torn, after all, Trump has done a complete u-turn on foreign policy, it’s that his base are still so loyal…

I don’t think they’ve got a unique thought between them? Miller probably does but he’s calling it all anyhow.

Problem for any elected Republican representative who is running is can they win without Trump and Maga and no is the answer. Hence.

They missed a beat with the Trump one, that should just have been the urinal and the hair piece.

*At least according the the Russian escorts report to the KGB

Reminds me of an interview I did. It was one of those interviews with a real aggressive style.

The opening question was

“Don’t you think that you’re a Jack of all trades master of none.”

I thanked him for his compliment, and said people often forget the second half, oft times is better than a master of one.

I didn’t get the job, he had dedicated his life to a very narrow field :winking_face_with_tongue:

Imagine being TSA. You are not getting paid but required to keep showing up. Your bosses then demonstrate what they think of you by suggesting people can be fast tracked into doing your job for you with little to no training, and then seeing them get paid for it while working along side you.

But also is he suggesting that ICE are going to be able to be able to man the airports while on the look out of illegal Somalis?

Are they going to do air traffic control as well?

Mueller’s death has predictably resurfaced utterly brain dead takes on “russia gate”. It is not just MAGA idiots who are immune to knowledge. It is that absurd brand of left politics that finds ways to launder MAGA arguments into ways to throw abuse of the left establishment who now act like this was a boondoggle in pursuit of something where there was no story

The Mueller investigation and the subsequent Senate Select Committee’s Counterintelligence report both identified clear efforts from Russia to aid Trump and extensive knowledge and acceptance of that through the highest levels of the Trump campaign. What Mueller was unable to prove was overt planned coordination, which is not a surprise because the Trump campaign in 2016 was too disorganized to even coordinate with itself. But it is very clear that the Trump campaign was playing off the crumbs the Russians were putting out, which becomes something you can be a lot more comfortable in doing off the cuff once you know they are doing it explicitly to help you. Furthermore, he was clear that extraordinary lengths were gone to in an attempt to obstruct the various investigations. Multiple Americans were convicted (all but 1, Roger Stone, pleading guilty) convicted for their role in it and Mueller stated that it was only Trump’s position as president that prevented a case being made against him for it, but heavily implied that such a case could be made once he left office.

Treating this as a distraction or unimportant is one of the most moronic takes possible.

Your have be reeling when Tucker Carlson seems have the right moral compass.

I got asked the same question recently, hope you allow me to copy your answer from now on.

La Guardia is now closed because of a runway collision, so maybe.

But it turns out they are now at the arports not to help out but mostly to watch and nab people who look brown and cannot prove their citizenship (which you have no reason to have on you as a citzen when flying domestically)

This guy is very self serving, but “we went from Khomeini to Khomeini (sic) in less than a Scaramucci” is an incredible line

I think I have to be the boring resident nerd with a needle here. So I am poking his balloon a wee bit, reminding him (metaphorically, I am fully aware that he is not my audience, lol) that it is Khamenei and that Khomeini died before the Soviet Union fully collapsed.

But line is otherwise golden

Here we have an excellent shitpost that can serve as an identifier

Bearded one down to the bottom right, supposedly current Supreme Leader although most experts think he has virtually no power. Bearded one to the bottom left, was killed by Israel.

Grand Old Beard Himself on the Upper Left, is Khomeini.

I listen to the Rest is Politics, USA; and the two podcast hosts are Katy Kay (former BBC journalist who is very accomplished and is a sought after guest on lots of news programs) and Anthony Scaramucci. He has surprised me by how well read he is. He loves history, trained as a lawyer, but then went on to Wall Street to the disappointment of his mother, and is something of a bitcoin expert.

Anyway, he said the Khamenei line about a week or more ago, and the unit of time ‘a Scaramucci’ is an ongoing joke on the podcast, as he didn’t last very long in the Trump administration. Ten days I think, before he was fired.

Scaramucci is a Republican, but he is appalled at what they became under Trump. He is independent enough to stand up to Trump and say what he thinks. Hence he’s not in government.
