Drill Baby Drill...the US Politics Thread (Part 3)

Looks like TACO has struck again, his post was just weasel words, nothing new in that.He painted himself into a corner with no way out.On the other hand I wait with interest Starmers explanation as to B 52s taking off from Fairford.Maybe they were off to a pissup somewhere!

So Iran has dropped their demands for compensation however will keep an Hormuz Strait tax.
It doesn’t look much like the 14 + 1 plan TACO put out.

The removal of sanctions from Iranian oil will be sufficient enough. They don’t need to impose a passage tax

Karg Island was bombed last night and a lot of Iran’s production can not move, apparently, even before that. So I think a Hormuz toll will help for a while.
Then again who knows what’s going on?
All we know is we have an nutty American regime in place. They should do something about themselves :joy:.

Has Trump declare total and complete victory yet?

Iran’s production was always in pressure even befor ethe war. China were the major customers from them. I can understand them taking a temporary cess on ships that flow through hormuz. But it has to be temporary. Otherwise ships will prefer to go by the Oman route through hormuz.

The removal of sanctions will allow Iran to import other necessary goods from countries without the fear of those countries being sanctioned in turn.

That in essence , allows them to get enough goods/money in to rebuild without having to ask for reparations. Which is what seems to be the case anyway

Countries like Saudi and UAE are wise to this. They will rather build pipelines across Saudi / Oman to avoid another hormuz incident from recurring

Iranians were referring to them stopping enrichment apart from for medical reasons before US attacked them. I assume that US will hold that clause full.

And it was China that gave a gentle nudge to Iran on the ceasefire.

I wonder who was really in control the entire time. Food for thought.

And what is the bet that it gets dropped for most of the world bar ships heading to US or Israel

I was going to say that I bet the rest of the world pays for it all.

Then I’m also wondering how much wealth he has personally accumulated from this.

I don’t see Iran being that nasty or vindictive. I could be wrong, but the Iranians I’ve met have all been fairly decent people, so doubt they would go and punish the rest of the world for 2 insane madmen.
