I don’t think China needs to send anti-ship missiles, Few capable SAM batteries would give Iran enough protection to take swing at its adversaries.
China has a huge strategic oil reserve, estimated to last three months. On top of that, they have huge coal-powered, and renewable energy sources. Finally, they import a large chunk of their oil from Australia. Altogether, they are cushioned for a considerable time.
US ‘allies’ like Japan, Korea, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh on the other hand were having the privilege of having their ships let go by Iran.
