If Pakistan hands their air bases over to the US, I wonder if China will look to set up bases somewhere in similar proximity to America?
Not necessarily another Cuban missile crisis, but something moving in that sort of direction, just a bit further out?

Why would Pakistan invite US to setup bases and burn bridges with China when Pakistan economy and security is dependent on China?

@Magnus I am a little sketchy on the details, but did you post something about some uranium being unaccounted for? The inference I picked up was that Iran has uranium to make bomb/s that has been siphoned off from what was previously inspected, before Trump withdrew from the deal.
America has just bombed the nuclear facilities. It seems a very dangerous move to me.
Not only is Iran now sore with America, Russia probably is too, but is there some unaccounted for uranium?

Trump got elected on a "peace"platforms I recall.
So far he he’s ensured that peace will not breakout anywhere, he is ensuring it doesn’t.This latest bit of madness will ensure that, thought his mate Putin was friendly with Iran.
As for Pakistan nominating the fuckwit for the peace prize, that is certainly waaay out the window now!

Well that happened a few hours after I had predicted. How surprising!
What I can not predict is how Iran will react to this over the long term. Short term they appear completely boxed in and must surely find a de-escalation of some form or other however even that doesn’t seem possible.
All I can think is ‘cornered rat’.
Just waking up and seeing the news, and was thinking exactly the same. No chance the tangerine turd will get the nobel peace prize now (I suspect he was pretty unlikely to have won it anyway)
