Regime Change is the Maximalist utopian Israeli War Goal (that is doubtful if acivevable unless US-Iranian escalation continues), but they also have other war goals that they will be happy enough with (Regime Change is not something they have a strategy for but which they welcome as a possible result if achievable).
Iran nuclear program. Setting this back multiple years and then getting out of the war with restrictive nuclear sanctions on Iran, this War Goal is enough for Israel alone.

Setting the Iranian Economy decades back.
destroying the Iranian industrial base and setting it back in years significantly.
Severely degrading the Iranian Military and depriving them of strategic and tactical assets.
Regime change into an Israeli friendly state preferably with someone like pavhlavi as head.
But 5) is not what they need. They were happy to stop yesterday. Israel wants out of this war if possible now but is also ok with it dragging on a little bit, but preferably with the US then so iranian military and industrial targets can be more effectively annihilated. The most important bits in this little war is done, seen with an Israeli lens. Now the cost increases for them and they wouldnât mind a cease fire at all.
No. This is 2 decades in the making and degrading Iran in a zero-sum, is much more important for Israel than whatever happens now in Gaza. Hamas is not a strategic threat, Iran is as the Persian natural geopolitical hegemon in its region.
