Its why you shouldnt spend 40-60M on a FB/CB hybrid to reinforce your bench when in the modern game you don’t put defenders on to shore up a lead. You gain more from goals

So they’re nowhere in the league, they’ve screwed the pooch in the League Cup, and they’re out of the FA Cup.
I guess the Arsenal fans will at least be comforted by the fact their strong European pedigree gives them a great chance in the CL.

Not quite nowhere in the league. Getting punted out of the LC will either focus them on the league, or break them as they contemplate another season of winning nothing. I am leaning towards the latter, but the next few league matches will be telling, at Forest in particular. If they are to gain ground, it really has to be in February.

Out of both cups by first week in February.
Forest are an horrible side, in the best way possible. Anyone who goes into a game with them feeling the slightest bit sorry for themselves will come unstuck. Any hangover from this tie will be pounced on by them.
