Nice.
Special mention to Mac, who I think led the youngsters in midfield well. Some bright moments from Nyoni. Just a few times he needs to be quicker to cover the runner in midfield still. Koumas and JM worked very hard.
Back four, mostly good. Want to see more of Gakpo and Rio. Rio needs to learn to lay it off quickly sometimes instead of taking too many touches.

Decent overall performance first half, most important that we did not look overrun by the opposition like we did at times against Fulham. Nyoni looks assured and Koumas and James had some good interplay. Overall we did deserve to be ahead.
Four yellow cards in that half and the only challenge that could have potentially hurt someone didn’t get one of them

Feel we do need to get the ball to our widemen a little more, but our CM’s on the whole have been sound defensively and the press has mostly been very good.

I rather enjoyed that. Our young players look really up for it. I’m wondering what our subs will be, because some of those lads are going to run themselves into the ground at this rate.

Joe is an underrated long passer from the back

That’s weird. I get English commentary. Maybe it’s because I watched the Werder Bremen game with stadium sound?

I think that thrusting Spursiness on someone will get you jail time.

He has always looked to pass it to feet through the lines, but we have to also understand that he will get it wrong and it will get cut out.
I’m able to switch to either one of them. But then I was also able to watch the full Fulham game, which you claimed wasn’t shown by them (

You´re right.
And on him getting it wrong. I think that´s okay sometimes. Football has become too focused on not taking any risk and not losing the ball. How can teams expect to pass through sides without any risk.
For me in general his job on the ball should be to zip it into the midfield quickly, wherever they are. Get it to them as fast as possible.

1-0 half time, decent game this. The quality isn’t quite there in a couple of positions, but the endeavor is lovely to see. It’s a good selection for a League Cup game.
Hopefully we finish the job. Staying at a rented villa in FL, Mrs ROTW is by the pool, I came in to watch this. Cocktail in hand, job’s a good ‘un.

Hopefully Gomez isn’t hurt.
Not me. I only laughed at his bad throw.
