We missed Hendo (and Milner) a lot last season even though neither would have started a game outside of injuries
Tournament play is even more challenging because you dont have your usual routine and familiar places and people to help turn off in the 2-3 hours a day you dont have to be on. The result is players either emotionally burning out from the constant sense of arousal or they go into holiday mode and cannot turn it back on properly when itās time to train and do team functions. Hendo is reportedly hugely influential in helping the less experienced players manage the weirdness of it all.
The longest I ever did in this environment was 7 days and I fucking hated everyone on my team by the end and just wanted some peace and quiet.

Exactly - Tuchel taking a player or two like Hendo, who can also still do a job closing a game out intelligently on the field is smart management.
That of course doesnāt mean he got all the choices right (I mean I kept watching Rashford lose or give the ball away against Congo trying to figure out how he became so terrible after a promising early career) but I agree with him in the sense of picking the best team rather than the best 26 players.
You have not even included that the Mexicans will be blaring their horns and blasting loud music the entire day and night outside of the hotel that the English team is staying.

I though Bosnia were a bit silly in trying to rattle the US with shithousery, no CONCACAF team is going to be thinskinned after that sort of stuff. If the Mexican stewards are feeling sporting, they will be confiscating the bags of urineā¦

Canāt wait for the game. It will be a tight one. Mexico are playing on the front foot. They will have the home crowd urging them on. In a way that could help England. We are up against it, and we are not expected to make the play. So letās ease into the game, and have a game.
I think Mexico will huff and puff. What I donāt know is whether or not it will be productive. They might score a goal or two if it goes according to plan for them. But I expect England to stand up and be counted, and we will not buckle under the crowd noise and the expected Mexican onslaught.
So now we are in a game. And I think England might well win, by a narrow margin. Possibly a Kane winner. Heās a bit of a talisman. Maybe Saka, who is getting fitter as we go.

Might need to print that out, Iāve never taken a sick day but the thought of having to get up at 4am for work after a match that doesnāt even start until 1 does make me feel a bit under the weather 
IĀ“m not as big a Trent fan as many of our fans but I canĀ“t understand why Tuchel didnĀ“t take him.
Especially knowing how much of a struggle it can be to open teams up.
In general Tuchel seemed to not take any of our creative, clever players.
Tuchelās selection seems designed to have just enough get past the ātough to open upā category of team, and then be one, a high-level version of exactly that against one of the real favourites.

In my view England should never be playing like that but it seems like youĀ“re right on what he is trying to do. CanĀ“t think of any other explanation why you wouldnĀ“t go with Trent, or Wharton, or one of Foden or Palmer despite their form.

Yup Trent missing does seem more and more odd.
Also I donāt think the wingers he took are pretty good, Rashford has looked pants to be fair.
He took four pace merchants on the wing.
Again, I donĀ“t know why you wouldnĀ“t take Palmer as something different, even if he had a poor season.
