When I first heard about the phrase “gender reveal” I thought it was something to do with the transgender community.
You can understand my disappointment when it turns out to be some overly commercialised American nonsense.
TBH, I saw that photo earlier and assumed it was a wedding picture.

You wouldn’t believe me if I told you! But I will tell you that I know a couple who threw quite a lavish GR party. Everything was multicoloured as they didn’t want to assign / label the child from birth. The child would choose their own when they were old enough. Now that’s fucked up.
I provided a few services for the party. I only had one question. “Cash or card sir?” He didn’t even flinch at the sir

Though I assume it can cross over into the LGBTQ community.
It’s pretty attention seeking to think anyone gives one iota of a fuck who you have sexual intercourse with as a premise for their* political identity…

I can tell you I’ve helped on a huge gender reveal party for the child of two jolly charming ladies.
They were having a boy and the gags were epic. “First time we’ll have seen one naked, terrifying” etc. Gorgeous couple, little boy’s now 2 and as masculine and boyish as you could want. Gay parents doesn’t mean sex/gender issues.
Anyway, should we take this to a different thread?
I mean most of them are performative nonsense. Regardless of the gender.
Kids will end up being whatever that they are and no pressure from religion, pursuits or otherwise will change this.
Anyhow performative nonsense for free gifts and you won’t change my mind on that. I was referring to my specific community on the basis that unless we actively go out of the way we won’t produce any children.
