Coming back to this, I think the whole business is a really compelling case study about how morally corrupting money is that level. Even if their only crime is choosing to be selectively ignorant to what he was up to, it’s really telling what they were willing to ignore because he was a fabulously rich man who had access to other fantastically rich men, and they really wanted part of that world.
A view not from a perch worthy to judge:
Is this one example of a conduit that is required for any society to function and succeed? As much as we want a clean and clearcut world view, is this the reality of how things are (maybe have always been) done? i.e. multiple conduits exist to facilitate process and are required to prop up any given system - this being unfortunate because some of the actors in vogue are entangled in a particularly salacious arm that is attractive to the masses.
This is the kind of E-mail that looks a bit worse than political lobbying, just to illustrate the difference and what I meant above.

A little anecdote here : Around the mid-nineties I used to spend a fair bit of leisure time in Brum , knowing a cracking bunch of lads who really knew how to party. One of the boys worked in the mortuary of one of those hospitals that he (Saville) used to visit. This one night (off our heads on ecstacy) he started telling me , deadly serious , that he ‘fucked stiffs’. My mind was absolutely blown , I really couldn’t take it in , but finally I just put it down to the drugs fucking with his brain , or him simply grossly exaggerating a chinese whisper. I memory holed it and never repeated it to anyone.
Now imagine , ten / twenty years later , whenever it was , when that inquiry confirmed that that was exactly what he had been doing. I guess the moral of the story is ; No matter how fantastical something might seem , there’s also a decent chance it just might be true.

Thorbjørn Jagland, the most arrogant ass in Norway who thinks the world owes him. He is socially and political dead in Norway after this revelation (and he wasn’t super popular) Lobbying for Russian interests.

Goes without saying (or should) that as a propagandist, he omits to say that many of the e.mails are about oligarch and Kreml dealings and not simply girls; though this does not fit a Russian narrative, so he would never divulge that, obviously. However, a vast (maybe most) number of the girls were indeed Russian since he used their services.

The Clintons have requested a public hearing to prevent Republicans from selectively leaking unflattering exchanges in the deposition. Oversight Chairman and Trump toady , James Comer , has so far ignored the request.
