I agree. There are two nibbles at Sterling, and either could have been given. The referee was excellent all night. Levels above the clowns we get in the premier league.

If everyone who is not English on here is fuming about England’s ‘diving’ you must be kicking the TV in watching almost every other nation play football. England is no where near as cynical as most other teams.
England have been done numerous times in tournaments because refs have been conned as much as England being crap.

England often looked like lunatics during that match with no collectivity that’s on the manager. England could have been 3-0 up at half time if they had a capable manager imo.

Me too. I don’t much care for England, but I prefer those lads over the cheating shithouses that turn out for Italy. That team takes gamesmanship to new levels.

Hooking Grealish is an absolutely baffling one. Proper WTF moment, if as has been suggested, he isn’t injured.
It was really fascinating how England lost all their composure in the second half of extra time. The got their heads together for the final minutes, but before that their arses properly went. That’s when you need your leaders - Southgate and the senior players - calming everything down.

Absolutely. And Italy have a better first eleven than England, although I think England have greater depth.
But Italy can shithouse their way to the win if they need to. If they are one up with half an hour to go, it will be an absolute masterclass of theatrical time wasting and exaggerating fouls. In fact I might have a little flutter on England getting a player sent off.

But the fact is Sterling dived to win a penalty, if he did it for man City against us, we’d all be kicking our TV screen in.
Kane also dived to try and con the ref.
Just because England have suffered injustices in the past,
It doesn’t make it OK for England players to dive now.
Denmark were done and barely hanging on, it was only a matter of time before England scored without using dark arts.

Was up at 5 today, so I turned it off as soon as the final penalty was scored, but if they carried on like the England players, then they’re just as stupid.
There was a lad on TIA who was a big England fan and he took a lot of abuse but always remained very civil…I tried to persuade him to come over here but I think he had enough of the jibes…hope he is enjoying this run.
