If England are going to win this tournament they’ll have to beat one of those teams anyway. Don’t think you can afford to be smart in trying to shithouse your way to a perceived easier draw.

If we finish second we get second place in group E (Spain, Slovakia, Sweden, Poland). If we finish 3rd could get Belgium could get winner of group E depending on who the best 3rd place teams are. Unlikely we get Belgium in my opinion

Agreed. Don’t see how southgate is doing anything Gravy Boat Sam couldn’t have. This team need a proper leader on the pitch. No intelligence on or off the ball from the players this match. Press was non existent. Passing was slow and lacking any cutting edge. We’re not going far unless something changes on the pitch. The football wasn’t much better against Croatia in all honesty and these first two games hint a hiding from any decent team
