Despite the impressive opening Blitz-like tempo, Italy controlled the game better, even though they had lower tempo. First 20 from England was truly good though.

Croatia anonymous and weaker than expected.So far.
Good first 20 minutes, bit of a snooze fest afterwards. Walker has been crap. Sterling and Kane not contributing much either.
Started well but has turned into a borefest, they have been impressed in the studio though.

I hate to say it but I thought that the Snake Sterling played well on the left, penetrating the Croatian line with some visions and sly moves. He was just awful in setting up the final ball.

That’s a solid base, though. Back four performing very well and Rice/Phillips pretty stout in front of them.
Lampard actually is grateful to have a break from the game actually and he didn’t even want the Chelsea job in the first place actually so shut up.

Apart from Walker giving the ball away too often, and not getting forward enough so he’s not linking with Foden, and on the odd occasion when he does get forward, he gives the ball away.
I’ve been really impressed with Phillips and I have to say that Sterling’s having a good game so far.
