The more I watch Jota play, the more it looks like his initial period with us was a purple patch.

Is it just me, or are teams incredibly risk adverse at these Euros? There have been loads of times I’ve seen a player turn down a 50/50 killer pass, to play a 100% ball backwards.

Jota has good instincts in finding good places to receive the ball, but he botched two nice opportunities in this match. He’s a 6.

Apart from Ronaldo being well, just Ronaldo and a massive player, my favorite on Portugal is Renato Sanchez. He has an engine to admire and is a work horse with really good technique. Really love watching him attack, he uses his physique so well.
