Slovakia played a great match, and they have grit and quality in their lineup but this is a really terrible result for Poland to open the group.

EDIT: Slovakia deserved the win.

After all that money I invested in the country’s gastronomy sector last year I felt I had to double down and have a flutter on Slovakia for the championship. Pretty happy right now.

Well played Slovakia :slovakia: totally deserved the win.

Congratulations to Slovakia ! For them, this is huge. I’ll use the chance to text my Slovakian friend Rozalia to congratulate, since I haven’t heard from her in six-seven months time or so.

Take the hint, mate. :joy:

No idea on her current social status, which is why it is time for a text I think. She works as an animator, draws cool stuff.

And draws the line at you, by the looks of it.

It’s textbook cyberstalking we have here. Six months is nothing…

Actually, we did try to date but it didn’t really work out too well. I am very extrovert, she is incredibly introvert and we do not communicate well about things that really matter, which led to some awkwardness. So friendship is a far better solution for both of us

Christ. If I’d have given up every time at the first sign of awkwardness, my number of central European gfs would have halved…I mean the Hungarian had hairs around her nipples but did I care?

Just checked the ages of that Slovakia team. Wow, they’ll be winning the masters tournaments next season.

Sometimes it is more important to keep a friendship intact instead of just getting a shag. Sure, I could have fucked her I think, but when we were not truly compatible, I would have probably lost a friend. Not worth it in any form or way.

Anyway, enough social pornography for now. You’ve had your fun guys

Yeah I mean you probably have a moral world view that puts mine to shame. In my defence, when I shagged Hungarian Lily in a hotel in Cambridge in the early nineties I turned Match of the Day off. It was the Souness era.

I don’t know about superior morals, I have testosterone as well after all, and make some choices due to that, like most men. But when you have a friend you like and it doesn’t work out romantically, then it is better to keep the friend instead of pushing it so the friendship shatters.

Anyway, let us focus on football from now on  :+1:

Agreed. Whatever you say. Back to the football. Preserve friends at all cost, seems the grown up way to go. Not that I’d know personally, of course

Belgium will finish top of the table if they avoid defeat and I guess they are likely to rest some of their key players against Finland. Denmark can finish third, if they beat Russia, and hope for one of those four places to fall their way.

If Denmark beat Russia by two I think they could actually qualify second.
