That’s a funny story but the cultural relevance is lost on me!

I’m Irish and (unusually) want England to win, for Hendo and also because I like Southgate and what he is doing with this team. The ‘holier than thou’ attitude, BJ and the tabloid front pages are testing me though!

Cognitive dissonance!

I want the team to win but the some of the fans can fuck off as for Boris I hope he over indulges and ends up shitting himself on TV.

Probably improve his polling mind.

As I said I don’t really mind though. I do find the likes of Rabb, Dowden and Johnson at the games rather nauseous these three have all criticised the knee or belittled it.

What that team stands for and believes in is everything the government hates.

Having watched both Baddiel and Skinner on Taskmaster it’s hard to imagine that either was anything but self deprecating when theh created the song.

But of course people see what they want to see. Fight club was written as a satire about excessive machismo but it ended up appealing to the over machofied crowd anyway :man_shrugging:

Exactly, i don’t know why they have to be there. They do not even like football.

I am so glad Gareth cleared it up about taking of the knee. Gareth is a true leader who has managed to galvanise and unite England fans, regardless of their politics, whereas BJ just divides people whenever he does something.

Majority of decent England fans get lumped with the Neanderthal minority.

I hope Kate Moss and Tom Cruise paid a full price for their seats.

For the sake of you, I hope England wins. :crossed_fingers:

This is just the warm up, there is mor3 cheesy stuff to come!

Sky reporting that Trippier is expected to start instead of Saka.

Formation change to 3 at the back?

They forgot Kyle Walker.

He’s usually a passenger.

Infantino is flying in from Brazil then, hope he is tested?

Glad to see Khan there instead some of the numpties I mentioned before.

Though what’s Robbie Keane done to get there and be classed as a footie legend, I know that goal against Arsenal was good but…

It would be nice, if some of those VIPs who don’t even like football gave away their seats to key workers.

Kenneth Clarke has said, that he got text messages from MPs who were going to the match, asking what the Offside rule was.

My friend texted from Central.London. She is working. She is saying thar Leicester Square is like a war zone. That place is supposed to be a fan zone area. People are throwing bottles at each other. They are already drunk. She says there is hardly any police around.

:rage::frowning::roll_eyes:

Twitter noise is back 3, trip back in, Saka on bench.

TV and internet outage. :scream:
May not be able to catch the game at all!

Beaver

Come on England.

I guess that’s what 68 international goals gets you…

So Trippier is in for Saka, so it’s basically the 11 against Germany, but with Mount instead of Saka.

Chiesa is fit, he starts for Italy (was a doubt). Good for the match.

He was really above average for the LA Galaxy for a number of years…
