Wonder if some teams could crash out after the group stage even if they reach 4 points.

Mystic Maria

I have never won a lot, I bet in small currencies when it is international tournaments or the Grand National.

Are England still giant favourites?

Well you would certainly win more than I ever could Maria… I have never ever bet on anything in my entire life!
Never even bought a lottery ticket…
Always wondered what a psychologist would make of that…

I tipped Italy and I’m still comfortable with that, they seem to have goals to go alongside a very solid back line. Yes they aren’t playing the big teams but Mancini is a competent manager and they are almost to surpass a record set in the dark days of the late 30s.

I get why an Umlaut or a “ch” might be a challenge, but could someone tell English pundits how to pronounce “oo” in German? Also Gosens is not a goose.

Don’t worry - by the time England plays Germany they will know it’s actually Robin Goalsens or Robin Goatsens :see_no_evil:

Expecting Switzerland to beat turkey to make it to 4 points.

Belgium might rotate some players - would mean Finnland and Russia end up on at least 4 points.

Ukraine and Austria could easily settle for a draw → both would be through with 4 points.

The winner from Schottland vs. Croatia will also have 4 points.

And then it will be interesting to see what happens in Group E and F on Wednesday.

Love the names! Schottland is great - like it’s been said by Sean Connery…

2-0 to Switzerland. I think it is game over for Turkey now.

For fuck sakes seriously?

If I was Germany I’d keep doing it.

Yet they’re more than happy to host the finals in Budapest. Corrupt, morally bankrupt organisation.

It’s already doing the rounds that, if Manu really has to pay a fine, then there will be crowd funding to pay for it. But Neuer won’t care about it anyway.

It’s ridiculous

It is not geopolitical, but it is sociopolitical. So they are right and technically perhaps a breach. But the problem with reacting against this is that the reaction will by default also be political.
If they go against Neuer for this, then they must also attack England for the kneeling, since that too is sociopolitical.

The law and the norms around it, was created for geopolitical reasons though. So that enemies in a cold peace could partake in sports together.
This seems a bit tiny, but I guess it insults social conservatives in Eastern Europe.

Hungary has probably complained because the city of Munich has also requested that the Munich stadium be illuminated in rainbow colors for the Germany vs Hungary game. That will now certainly also be rejected.

Definately Hungary, Russia, Poland and friends.
