I can see Southgate sticking with 5 at the back for this. I imagine that was his plan all along for the knock out games, and I expect he’ll want to match Ukraine up. Either way I hope he takes the opportunity to play some fresh legs, plenty of top quality players who haven’t seen much action yet. Maybe even time to give Sancho a go, you know, Englands 6/7th choice wide man that Man Utd have just bought.
Sounds like Sancho and Mount are starting tonight with a back four being used again. Would expect some more rotation given how fucked Kane, Sterling and Rice looked towards the end of the last game.
