Nice touch from Ukraine to salute their fans like that. They must be fed up after a good hiding.

To be fair most countries sportswriters are insufferable if their team is doing well.
You can’t expect a sportswriter to ignore the fact England beat Ukraine 4 nil in the quarter finals of a major tournament.
The only problem for England IMO could be Italy.

I’m sure there’ll be plenty who disagree, but I think that was the best England performance I’ve seen since the days of Alf Ramsey and they’re days that I definitely don’t remember clearly.
Apart from Pickford’s very nervy performance, the only real weakness is Walker. He didn’t offer a damn thing going forward and wasn’t much use in defence. Trent must be pig-sick right now.
