If you interpret it literally. The jist of the quote is saying that people hide behind the screen without consequences.
I said nothing of the sort. I was saying that itās not OK to use hate speech to attack someone. Apparently you are saying thatās fine? Is it OK to have away thugs chanting about poverty and mocking the Hillsborough dead at Anfield? Celebrating the death of a much loved former player is exactly the same thing.
Always find it confusing when someone decides they donāt like a player and others leap to their defence to explain why they are wrong for not liking them. So often throwing in how they do charity work as part of the reason.
Anybody who earns Ā£200,000 a week while doing a part time job should be doing something for charity. That should be a given.
Regardless, if somebody doesnāt like Harry Kane, that shouldnāt be a problem for anyone else. It almost definitly wonāt be based on one thing, but an impression built up over years.
It certainly wonāt be because they play for a different team as Iām sure most people could name 100+ players from other teams that they do like. Even probably some Everton and Man U players.
While itās probably unanimous that Gerrard is a Liverpool legend, you will probably find no small number of people, including myself, who donāt warm to him as a person and perhaps even dislike him a little.
For me, Kane is unlikeable. Thatās a multifaceted opinion, based on so many factors. And his ability and charity work have no impact on that.
Thatās a fair view. Anyone can like or dislike certain players for a lot of different reasons. Some maybe only known to them or felt by them.
It can also change. I didnāt like Robben, even if I acknowledged him as a very dangerous, quality attacking player. With time, I came to at least respect what he does best. Still not my cup of tea. But I admit thatās more one of the weird ones, same as maybe how I feel when someone dislikes Kane. Maybe because he talks like a retard or claimed a goal that wasnāt his once. Thatās fair enough.
I feel like Kane stands very okay among fans in general, that heās not part of the ones that many people have problems with, because of certain behaviours or whatever.
I also think the best in every business are under the biggest microscope. Itās like something needs to be found or blown up.
But then with those ārulesā or measures, damn, most footballers are dislikeable. And weāre talking about them on a day to day basis on online forumsā¦ is it a waste of time then?
Can you read? From what I wrote you really understood that I think hate speech is fine? Wow!!!
And I asked the question Am I understanding it right? All you need to say Red whippet is no, what I mean is ā¦ not try and twist it. Sad times.
By the way Mike Tyson literally sparked the guy out so he was talking literal.
Will Smith likes this post.
Iām sorry but you twisted, in fact completely misquoted, what I said. I quoted back the logical conclusion of your original āsticks and stonesā quote which Iām assuming that you now see as being highly undesirable.
The club have been taking great steps to stamp this stuff out. And yes, name calling does cause injury. I lived in Glasgow long enough to see that first hand. Thereās a charity there that specifically combats that. I think the English clubs could do with something similar.
A goal and a assist.

Haha. Broadhead equaliser in the 92nd. First attempt on target. Good point.
I was happy with our performance tonight. Shouldāve scored the second. But we keep conceding poor goals from set pieces. Thatās one aspect of the game we havenāt improved one bit ever since 2018. Despite having pretty tall players in this part of the world.
And you know the time when that lump Joselu on the verge of 33 gets to the Spain squad and even scores a brace.
Fucking RIP, drawing to that shower of shit in that manner should be a crime.
I have no idea what you are on about mate. Youāre running around in circles. So Iāll try and explain it as best I can and leave it.
Stabbing is worse than insults. Thatās it.
Hate speech is not ok.
Hope that clears it up.
Sounds about right.
I liked the Lidl sponsorship.
I like that shirt very much. It has been a while since I liked the design of the England shirt.
Gakpo back at the Dutch team ā¦
Did anyone watch the Germany game yesterday? Iām always interested in how a side like that respond at the beginning of a cycle to a disappointment. For the coverage of who Flick wasnt picking for this round of games, it still looks like a fairly familiar side. Interesting and encouraging that Wirtz started, but how did they line up? ESPN had them in a 4-4-2 which doesnt look right.
