TBH that old phrase is bollocks. Calling someone names is intended to provoke a response.
It transpired that the individual with that flag has been involved with far-right prescribed organisations. Do you think he was out for some harmless banter? I doubt it?
Nope of course not. Itâs not correct to say what you like. And the sayingi isnât bollocks otherwise I would have spent my school days fighting every day. Thereâs no need to respond or excuse responding with violence. Thatâs how things escalate. Give it the contempt it deserves. The authorities dealt with it and thatâs the best way.
Reading in the papers today the Italian police were accused of charging the England fans without provocation just like the French police did to our supporters in Paris and the England fans must have learnt from our fans reaction and didnât retaliate. I donât understand why they get their riot police out to control a few supporters who are queuing to get into the stadium in an orderly manner?
Not really. Itâs still him people are responding to. Yesterday is a great example. He tried, he really tried to focus on the result and the historical importance of it in his post game comments. But literally before the sentence was over, which started with commenting on the result being the most important thing, without anything resembling a transition, he was on to talking about his record. And thatâs a bit shit for him, because he should be allowed to talk about his pride in breaking such a big record, but its the fact that on any given weekend this will be the way he talks about scoring his 3rd goal of the season on a day when Spurs won.
Also Kane is never called up for constantly trying to injure defenders by taking out their legs when they go up to head the ball. Thatâs just good old fashioned English CF play.
For what itâs worth, Iâm not offended by the Diego banner, but itâs funny the fan got his ticket cancelled.
