I don’t understand why the FA don’t do what normal club sides do… look for coaches who are overperforming for smaller nations. They always seem to hire club managers - its a totally different job.
It’s the british agenda media - they like Gareth so he gets a pass and the elephant is ignored right until it crushes english hopes and then the ‘how could we miss this’ inquest begins. It’s what they do.
I think Bodgers will be desperate for this role - the guy thrives the limelight like Dracula thrives the shadows/darkness
A sort of… just when you think things can’t get any worse after Southgate… someone like Bodgers takes the stage to spew his bullshit -
Although… listen to this - I’ve read somewhere, that Phil Neville is highly thought of in the FA, and his appeal is gaining traction…
What a pantomime the England set-up is though - utter joke
FWIW… I think Southgate will extend his tenancy… he surely knows, the alternative of taking a management post in the PL, his limitations will be ruthlessly exposed, with his side; whoever they may be; becoming relegation cannon fodder within 18months…
Just so glad, my hopes with England have never been built up to a point of reaching disappointment levels
Maybe someone who is not currently under contract to anyone but who has a huge amount of experience and is respected by everyone in the game. Preferably someone who is known for his man-management skills.
Potter might not be a bad option but I think the FA would probably prefer Howe or Pochettino for their greater experience.
Howe should take it if it’s offered, before he gets sacked and spoils his reputation. Another season with no CL at the end of it and the owners will thank him for his efforts and appoint Pochettino the next day.

Howe should take it if it’s offered, before he gets invited to a meeting at the Saudi Embassy… [/quote]
My favorite is when they all stand/sit there with their arms crossed and no expression at all.
It might come as a surprise to many, this happens in all competitions England play since about the mid nineties regardless of manager or players. There must be a philosophy of boring the pants off Ken (partner of Barbie).
Augsburg (dpo) - Good news for people who suffer from insomnia! More and more pharmacies are currently including DVDs with all EM Group C games in their range as a highly effective sleep aid.
“Clinical studies have shown that games in this EM group have a strong sedating effect,” explains sleep scientist Harald Beuch. “Nine out of ten test subjects fell asleep on the sofa in front of the television after just 10 minutes of watching the DVD. The rest were gone after 15 minutes.”
It doesn’t matter whether you watch Slovenia against England (1:1), Serbia against England (0:1), Slovenia against Serbia (1:1), Denmark against England (1:1), England against Slovenia (0: 0) or Denmark against Serbia (0:0). According to experts, all games are similarly low in goals and events and lead to a restful, deep sleep after just a short time.
The DVD has virtually no side effects and is therefore far superior to conventional sleeping pills.
The recording is available in every pharmacy for a reasonable 9.99 euros, as UEFA voluntarily gave up all rights to the games for free in order not to be associated with the subterranean quality of the games.
Since the DVD is considered to be highly effective, all statutory health insurance companies usually cover the full amount if it has been prescribed by a doctor.
It’s the England job - there arent going to be a raft of top quality applicants identified by the recent roaring success in club football. If you like Howe today based on what he’s already shown then another year of upper table “failure” at Newcastle shouldn’t really move the needle on that.
