Good game. Turkey gave it a real good go. Happy for Virg and Cody. Sad they have to put a few more miles into their legs when they should be resting for the season ahead, but it is what it is. That applies to others too. E.g. Darwin Nunez tonight against Brazil in the Copa.

You have a point, if you meet them they are almost always very likable - makes it even more confusing that they as a collective are almost 100% behind their sultan and the shit he sprouts…

The British army came to my grandparents town and beat up all the men. My Grandfather went into hiding for years and took part in guerilla warfare against the British.

Sorry everyone, this has got a bit dark.
We all know GR is a good guy and we all have various issues in our backgrounds which probably aren’t best discussed on a football forum.
Let’s just leave it there and look forward to the semi-finals.

Its been a lack lustre tournament overall tbh.
Several of the “smaller” teams have been fun to watch, but Spain are the only semi finalists to have played consistently good football.
I hope they go on to win it.

The games I’ve seen at the Copa have mostly been better. Only a few Euro games have hit the heights.
Uruguay v Brazil tonight will be a cracker.
I agree that Spain have been a breath of fresh air. They have played the best football. Mind you, I still think France will knock them out.
England v Netherlands is anyone’s guess.
Imagine if two of the most cagey teams, France and England, both laden with talent but stumbling along, make it to the final.
It might just happen.
