Fun, but unfulfilling.

Farewell Agent of Chaos.

Some day, someone will be looking at this comp and wondering how it was possible that the lad was scoring all of these unbelievably difficult goals with both feet and his head, almost without actually scoring simple tap-ins. For Heaven’s sake, he scored a backheel goal against prime Real Madrid and prime Courtois between the sticks!

Therein lied one of his issues, I guess - and it’s telling how his output fell off a cliff after his goal against Sheffield United. I wish him nothing but the best - unless he’s playing against Liverpool obviously (which he also expertly did on two occasions).

I’m not sure what they think they have signed. The Terminator or something? I can’t read Arabic.

Anyway, best of luck, you mad bastard.

Didnt dislike Nunez,

but he was a very frustrating player for us,

a flash of brilliance in a game, then nothing in the next few games,

he never seemd to kick on after showing a bit of brilliance,

i wish him well and hopes he becomes a top class player where ever he plays.

On a side not, i hope he is the last player we sign from Benfica, as we dont have much success signing players from them!

That Newcastle game will be remembered for a long time in my mind.

I was there, will never forget that moment. Was in the Kenny with a perfect view. Shame that game ended the way it did.

Like many strikers we’ve signed over the year’s I’ve been supporting the reds, he didn’t live up to the expectations.

He had moments, played his part, never stayed onside..

All the best to him. Making bank.

Well that’s Konate gone next summer! Can Ekitike be his new bestie?

That makes it seem like he’s mid pack for strikers for us. For me he’s bottom quarter - this club has been blessed with some outstanding strikers even when we weren’t all that. Nunez disappointed (and got worse) surrounded by an excellent team.

That compilation makes him look like an all timer when it comes to finishing

It’s how I’ll choose to remember him anyway.

We’ve had some terrible strikers too, Ngog, Lambert, Meijer, Borini, Aspas (although he was decent in Spain) etc.
Balotelli and Bendteke were rubbish for us and Heskey wasn’t good enough either.
The closest I can remember was Cisse, who also had a chaotic style and who was much better instinctively than when he had time to think.
Darwin is a better player than him though, I think.

Heskey was much better than Darwin. He had a brilliant s3ason

And there were a couple games I remember where near the he just went and took the ball from someone, played a perfect pass into a teammate to save points or win…

But yeah, frustrating in front of goal under Klopp and shrank dramatically under Slot. Hope the move re-energizes him and he reaches he fantastic potential. Agree the right thing for everyone was for him to move on.

It blows my mind that no one from the PL came in for Darwin. He’s better than most strikers in the league.

I wish him all the best in Saudi Arabia
