Is it wrong to look at his career as âwhat might have beenâ instead of everything he helped achieve in his Liverpool spell? Because I canât look at him and not feel a profound sadness that he hadnât become a top class forward here. He had everything in his locker but he hadnât been the same since that âtackleâ from Funes Mori. In any case, I genuinely wish him nothing but the best.

What a day, Iâm somewhere central in those first rows.
Couldnât get a ticket that was affordable to me that year so had to watch it in a bar just outside the Wanda (met Carraâs dad!), but that day at the Plaza Felipe II was absolutely amazing.
