Ex-player: Rhian BREWSTER

Isnt he supposed to be going somewhere else? Leipzig maybe?

The Palace deal seems a good one for all parties, except for maybe Brewster. I fear what will happen to his development playing on this version of Palace as they have been one of the most dour, unadventurous sides Ive ever seen. They were much improved in positivity against Utd this weekend, but one swallow and all that…

Plus, Eberechi Eze. What is he, a mix between a #10 and a second striker? He’s their third most expensive player, though Brewster might squeeze in their top 3 now.

I don’t know, it’s exactly clubs/sides like Palace where I scratch my head the most. About a dozen forwards and still have the likes of Scott Dann starting games at CB in the PL. As long as Roy squeezes out results, you get the impression that everything is fine.

When a few cracks appear and they drop down a level or two, panic will kick in and they’ll be wondering why.

I presume Zaha’s off so Brewster playing up front with Ayew, with Townsend and Eze just behind looks OK for him. Ayew would probably complement him fairly well.

That Eze kid is highly rated n more like a no 10 who can play wing sometimes.

They probably think Rhian can change a game off the bench. I don’t think they will start him.

Let’s see if that (ever) happens for Zaha.

I don’t know who would be prepared to pay top dollar for him now.

Everton? :joy:

Maybe? Haha. Maybe a return to United? He’s exactly what they need :joy:

Arsenal could go back in for him if he’s now £30m or so?

What did they buy and sell him last time?

He was Ferguson’s last signing. Bought from Palace then sold him back to them a couple of years later.

Edit; of course since been denied and can’t possibly be true!

Chelsea could do with another attacking signing or two :joy:

I like Rhian and I’m disappointed if he’s leaving but he’s not really a great fit playing style wise for us. He’d always be a plan B for us. To think we may sell him for what Thiago cost us! He’s had 6 good months on loan in the Championship!

Haha. Steve Parish making a rod for his own back there.

What a character. I see him more like an influencer or something, rather than someone who runs a football club in the world’s best league.

He trolled Red Manc after their win.

Just seen loads of people absolutely raging on James Pearce’s tweet about us potentially selling Brewster.

One of them called him the ‘best youth prospect this club has had since Fowler’. Even if he only meant strikers that’s just blatently not true. Another called it ‘shameful that FSG sell our best young players’.

Some people just have to be complaining.

Are you complaining again? :astonished:
Where did you see that?
More importantly why did you try to find it?

Anyway I think it’s dissappointing that Brewster is in a position where his best option is to leave however that’s how things have turned out.

Quoted for truth. I legitimately saw on Twitter after the Jota signing a Liverpool “fan” saying Todd Cantwell would have been a better option.

There aren’t enough ways to describe the multiple levels of dumb that statement represents, and there just aren’t enough facepalm emojis. :man_facepalming::man_facepalming:

I know all clubs have their share of mugs, but at times I cringe when I read some of our supporters thoughts on Twitter.
