Ex-Player: Takumi MINAMINO

Impressive to see how much Klopp has lost faith in this lad. Hopefully he’ll get some regular playing time, beef up a little bit, score some goals. All the best, Takumi!

Yeah he’s been terrible to be fair. Shown nothing to warrant all the Taki is getting treated terrible, Taki deserves a run of games, I don’t understand the reluctance to bring Taki on instead of Origi comments.

What do you mean it solves our European problem @RedOpium ?

Yep, needs to get up to the speed and intensity of the league still and thats done by playing week in week out. Hard to get minutes ahead of the utter 3 gods!

Southampton must need to sell more shirts in Japan

Too many players of certain types to be listed. Foreign senior players to keep it simple.

Sorry, I am lost reading your post?

We had to drop one foreign player from our European squad to comply with the rules.

Hopefully the loan will be good for him. In his last few games I thought he was better than Origi, Shaqiri, etc. but then he didn’t get another chance.

Coming to Liverpool was a massive decision for Taki.

He labored staying in Salzburg and featuring regularly, or betting on himself coming to a big club. He said he specifically weighed the risks of getting lost in the numbers at a big club and was a bit undecided. It was only after he talked with Shinji Kagawa about what it was like to work with The Boss, and Shinji encouraged him to do it, that he decided to come. I get it, Taki’s story isn’t unique or uncommon. It happens to a lot of footballers down the years.

I just feel for him Bc he’s such a likable fellow and quality player and it just sort of momentarily stalled his progression. I’ll keep following his path at Soton and I’m sure Ralph will take great care of him. If I was a betting man, its likely the last we will see of him in our shirt.

Comments seemed to suggest he wants the lad to get a run of fixtures, does seem to me that Jota’s on his way back pretty soon considering what I watched on Sunday from Origi.

what is positive is James Pearce noting that Soton wanted an option to buy but we rejected that and only a pure loan. And that Klopp wants him to get a good run of games for the rest of the season and seeing a future for him in the club.

As others have said must have been really rough time for him when we bought him. Went into lock down not long after. Hope he gets a decent run for Southampton and shows what he can do.
