Ex-player Trent Alexander-Arnold

Ergo, he should come back home, just like Rush in the time. He knows now that the grass isn’t greener elsewhere.

Even before we get on to the issue with going back, there is no way Real would let him return to us without a significant fee. And we just can’t allow that.

Yes, Trent trapped himself.

Fuck him. And his dickhead brother.

Yes, that brother is absolutely awful, and what he regularly says in his online videos is terrible. I’m glad when I don’t have to hear or see anything from them.

Would you? If you were him?

Might be his only option…

If that was me, I’d feel humiliated.

Worse than Salah’s agent?

Differently terrible, to be honest. It mainly concerns his public statements about the club and fans in online videos, and his treatment of clients. (He still has some of our youth players under contract, dating back to when Trent was with us, some of whom have since left.) I’m really trying to ignore him now.

Unfortunately, that sounds like some permanent bridge burning to me. Unless Trent ditches his brother as his agent which is highly unlikely.

He made his bed, which he is entitled to do, now lay in it son.
Would I want him back…right now? In a heartbeat. But he is such a shit defender that we’d have to accept his output off-sets his ability to stop goals. Which at times wasn’t easy to do!

I mean that was always the case which is why Hendo and then Dom helped him out.

We really missed that passing ability this season.

Can’t see him wanting to return

Yeah I don’t see any upside from his perspective. He could get a starting spot in other teams, although it would have to be a team that understands his unique mix of qualities and weaknesses.

Definitely not a traditional right back

Those boos are probably still ringing in his ears as well

Makes me laugh that when Slot came in there were reports of him wanting Trent to be more of a traditional right back and he now regularly puts players there who aren’t even defenders.

Like Frimpong?
Don’t forget Frimpong is Dutch :face_blowing_a_kiss:.

Player skills and how someone positions these players can be different.

We also changed how we used our full backs (especially Trent, more than Robbo, because he could do it) under Klopp.

Yeah big time. His absence has also played a part in Mo’s numbers falling off a cliff too (although it’s not the only reason).
