Ex-player: Xherdan SHAQIRI

On loan till Jan at least has to be getting considered.

The window is closed, right??? Has to stay till January.

No, it’s only closed for incomings. He can still be transferred out to an association whose window is still open, like Switzerland’s.

Thanks @Kopstar. Kinda ridiculous really.

And even then we can still sign from the EFL for a bit longer can’t we? But our CL squad needed to be registered last night?

Which means he was infectious while at Liverpool?

Marvellous.

Does that count as a false positive?

We’ve had four players test postive. Find it surprising that no Liverpool staff have also tested positive. Must have but not been made public.

Means he probably was that player that had it in preseason like people thought.

He and Divoc were missing from all preseason pics and videos in Austria.

Yeah it’s most likely that then.

Haven’t City had three positives (Gundogan, Mahrez and Laporte)?

Those were towards the beginning of the season, so maybe they hadn’t spent as much time with the squad as our lads, but it would appear they’ve done well to contain it.

West Ham also had three cases in Moyes, Diop and Cullen a couple of weeks ago and so far there have been no further reports.

He would have been origionally tested only a few days ago,so was the first test a false positive?

“After Xherdan Shaqiri’s negative Covid-19 test, the UEFA health committee must now decide on eligibility to play on Saturday. Until when this decision will be made is still unclear. Shaqiri is flying to Spain as planned.”

According to a report from Blick, a blood test showed a negative-positive had been recorded for Shaqiri because of ‘fragments of an old infection’.

The Swiss FA said: “In this regard, the SFV received the information that Shaqiri’s positive test result is probably due to a previous infection and that he is therefore not infectious.

Has just come on for Switzerland, in the sixtieth minute of their Nations League game against Spain.

Looks like he’s just got out of bed, too.
