This is going to sound a bit dimā€¦butā€¦if a linesman can flag a player offside, 10 yds away from the goalā€¦why canā€™t a linesman, at the other end see a player offside from a free kickā€¦is there some reason or some rule that makes the offside differentā€¦pls reply and enlightenā€¦

Nah this was back at the start of the season when Martinez was pushing for a move and they had Bizot as a starter.

I would place much more blame on the linesman. Ref looked a bit unsighted. VAR not perfect but if you have a look on youtube at games of yore, then missed offsides, red cards, wrongly disallowed goals are all there. We have forgotten what football without VAR was likeā€¦the frustration is the looking at mms to decide on offside but you do get far more correct decisions with VAR..

I was watching a very early round and a penalty was given and not a single player on either side protested. It was a stonewall pen but at half time when they replayed it, the foul was clearly at least 2 metres outside the area but no-one on the pitch, officials or players spotted it.

Canā€™t wait to see the cakewalk draw City,Arsenal and Chelsea are going to get tomorrow.I wouldnā€™t be surprised if they all get non-PL teams.

We lost to mighty Plymouth Argyle last season..who then got relegated to Div 1.
