Amatuer pitches are better than that now :joy:

I can remember Anfield being not much better before the under-pitch heating.

Considering how they are effectively posh school pitches that I played on (it’s an old boys school league sort of that lets anyone play) I think only one was ever that bad.

We had a few called off at home as effectively our ground was on a flood plain not far from the Thames.

Looks like a typical 70s First Division surface. Derby’s was especially bad, I remember.

The Baseball Ground was ankle deep in mud.

Not helped by Cloughy asking for the pitch to be watered to make it more difficult for opponents

We’re playing Wolves away

Newcastle vs Man City

Mansfield Town vs Arsenal

Wrexham vs Chelsea

Games will be played on the weekend March 7th. That’s a few days before our CL first leg.

The romantic joy of the cup. This is whst the FA Cup is all about (according to the BBC).

Then why did City get Newcastle?

Man City are old hat

The one draw that definitely can’t be fixed is the FA Cup as there is no seeding. Long may it be so…

Not impossible, apparently…

Of course it is possible but apart from everyone else involved, it would also need the complicity of those making the actual draw hence it is beyond belief that Joe Cole and Karen Carney were involved in fixing that draw.

Btw..if Sepp Blatter told me grass was green I would have to go and check for myself…

I wasn’t suggesting that this particular draw was fixed, just that these things aren’t impossible to fix. As for Blatter, of course he’s as crooked as they come so it’s just as likely he’s been a party to some fixes before now.
