That’s been the luckiest FA cup draws I can ever remember for Arsenal. 2 below average league one sides and 2 below average Championship sides.
Also, to play and win all 6 matches the prize money is a little over £4m - isn’t it more than that to win just 1 match in Champions League.
Considering Emirates produced record profits of US $5bn last year then they need to put way more into the kitty. Port Vale could’ve really benefitted and made plans for some stadium work or a few good transfers coming in by next season.
The last thing I wanted to see was this team get a pass to the semi at Wembley and then fucking embarrass themselves like they did in the Carabao final last season.
If they get to Wembley they’ll have to earn it and that’s fine by me.
Didn’t watch this one but looks like West Ham won a shootout. Bowen and Thiago are clearly those teams first choice penalty takers and they scored 2 each this evening and hat-tricks overall.
I do like both of those players, think they are better than the clubs they play for.
So if Mo does leave us after Egypt get knocked out of the World Cup then who is it that becomes number one peno taker? I’m guessing it goes to Isak then?
Not an easy draw, but you cannot expect to win the FA Cup (no matter how much I adore the fact that there are basically no filters) without needing to beat some serious sides and potentially away from home.
Let’s see what state we’re in when we get to that date and hopefully we throw everything we can at them on that day, see what it brings us. A little bit more pragmatism perhaps wouldn’t be too dumb, considering we have to beat them in one game to go through and all other circumstances.
West Ham going 0-2 down against Leeds, I thought they would fold like a cheap suitcase. However, the Hammers scored 2 in added time, and have more fights in them than us in yesterday’s match.
Edit: Bedlam! Keeper messed up but I think it is offside. West Ham goal does not count. Still 2-2 in extra time.
This FA Cup tie is insane right now. End-to-end rather than being cagey.
