Possible FA Cup replay (unfortunately I’m expecting it to happen) and possible FA Cup fourth round end of January.
Southampton are interested in signing him on loan.
Is it possible to play him in FA Cup and EFL club and then loan him out again?
Is it possible that someone who is online 24/7 knows how to perform a Google search?
Should be going straight back out on loan. Would be nothing more than an extra body here given how far down the pecking order he’d likely be even with Mo’s departure.
I dont think thats possible as then he would have played for three teams in one season.
Guess a decision will depend on the Arsenal match.
Just a thought… but if one of the reasons he was sent on loan, albeit by mutual consent, could have been to tune up his attitude. If, and it is only conjecture here, if, that was a reason… it would be a bit early to let him back into the fold at Anfield…
The immediate links to Southampton and Leicester would imply that we have made clubs aware he will be available.
If true, it would probably depend on whether and by how much his attitude had improved. In all likelihood though his return is probably more to do with his lack of playing time at RBL, and an intention on getting another move in place.
Wouldnt mind if he gets a game or two now.
He’s found out that the grass isnt necessarily greener on the other side. Should Play him till the last day of the transfer window possible and then decide whether to loan him out for the season
Don’t see how he gets a game with us. He’s not ousting Jones, Macca or Gravenberch on the left side of midfield.
Can’t really see him at LW, although Diaz could use a rest.
As a substitute, i meant.
We’d miss Salah, I’d play Diaz at RW for a while and Carvalho can depute either as the backup LW to jota/Gakpo…
Just have the odd 15-20 minutes seeing out matches and start in the cups
I don’t think Carvalho will get much of a look but I don’t see why he shouldn’t.
When Salah is away… the only proven goal scorer we have is Jota who is just coming off an injury spell. Gakpo and Diaz (on current form) aren’t going to score much.
Nunez… is a bit better. He can score but who knows when and how.
And short record, I know, but Carvalho showed he can be fairly clinical. Which means it might happen again. Certainly… I feel more confidence in an unknown like him coming off the bench then Gakpo who I often doubt will change the game with a goal.
We’ve somehow got to win the next three PL games and then hopefully Mo will be back.
Wrong thread but I think with Diaz and Jota tonight I think we will be ok.
I’m tired of all the negative stories about him. “We wanted him to claw and scratch” - well guess what mate we didn’t loan him to you for him to have to “claw and scratch” for game time.
They loaned him off us under the falsehood that he was going to be a first team player before then continuing to look for other options. Obviously everyone knows Xavi Simons is a much more high profile signing than Fabio Carvalho and would be given much more game time.
Maybe Liverpool are upset with Carvalho not finding his way into that team or maybe they also feel a bit used by Leipzig. I’m getting tired though of men in their 50s criticising a 20 year old player publically.
Rui Jorge acting like a prick when Carvalho rejected Portugal U21s call-up when he was staying back to do extra training to try and make headway at Anfield. Guess what mate international football is of a lower standard than your average Burnley vs Luton game. Shut the fuck up about your kids team.
Then this Leipzig guy also calling him out publically and accusing him of not wanting to compete. You literally signed a player two weeks after signing Carvalho that is more high profile and you have an option to buy on - there was no competing. There is no world where Carvalho was ousting Simons from the team. Its like your missus leaving you for Brad Pitt and then saying its because you didn’t work hard enough and she just wanted to see you “claw and scratch”- bullshit! You got Carvalho then realised you could get the guy you really wanted and did that instead. It’s ok but don’t pretend like that is a failing on Carvalho’s part.
