IOC will not investigate Infantino over Trump interference allegations

Human rights group FairSquare announced earlier this month it had submitted a complaint to the IOC regarding Infantino, which included reference to FIFA’s decision to defer a World Cup suspension for United States striker Folarin Balogun after Trump personally asked Infantino to review the red card.
Infantino is an IOC member but a spokesperson for the organisation said that because the complaint centred on FIFA decisions and governance, its ethics commission concluded it did not have jurisdiction to investigate.

Trump’s extended family are fleecing as much money out of every institution, every government body around the world as long as Dtump is in power as president.

I wish all the European Football Ferderations would do a boycott. I am not sure if the South American countries would follow, but a few like Colombia and Brazil might. You can’t have a World Cup without Europe or South American countries. Average football fan would not be interested.
Basically, Infantino wants to create an entity that will own and capitalize FIFA competitions. The majority of the shares will remain with FIFA, 20% will go to the associations and the rest to private equity investors, i.e, Kushner. He of course will be heading this entity as “Commissioner”. The scary part is that a lot of associations won’t resist the temptation of shares valuated in the millions and will vote for it.
Infantino has been talking about bringing football to the whole world; in fact, he’s privatising it.
He is basically just proposing to copy what F1 did, with the FIA owning the motorsport and the rules, while the commercial rights belongs to Liberty Media.
Practically, there’s a power struggle and tension between FIA, Liberty Media, and the Formula 1 teams.
But while 10 teams can band together to push for some changes if they wish to (and even then, their actual power is limited), in the case of FIFA, countries are much more numerous, so coming to a consensus would make it much harder to push for change.
I think Infantino bet i first most countries will accept this, because the money is too tempting, and that second he would be able to control FIFA indefinitely.
